Birthday Girl
Michael Jackson and Others!

Seems like everytime we turn on the news lately, sit down to our computer or look at our phones we are hit with the news that yet another person in the public eye has left us. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, and of course Michael Jackson. All of them household names in one way or another. I remember wanting to be an Angel and catch the bad guys when I was a young girl like Jill on Charlie’s Angels. Publishers Clearinghouse is Ed McMahon in my mind forever. Oxy Clean and Billy MMays go together like ebony and ivory which brings me to Michael Jackson. So much has been written about him and his loss that I don’t feel the need to do the same thing here. I do want to write about how his music was always there when I was growning up and I will miss knowing what else he would have done next.
While talking to different friends about our favorite songs or memories about MJ I realized that most of mine were from long ago. I remember all the posters on my wall of him with his glove in his hand. When I look through my LP’s (yes I still listen vinyl) I have Jackson 5ive Greatest Hits, We Are The World, and Thriller. And lots not even mention what I have on 45 The Girl Is Mine, Ebony and Ivory the list goes on. So here’s my top ten of my favorite songs, feel free to share your with me as well.
- Never Can Say Goodbye
- Rockin Robin
- Ben
- Gone too Soon
- You Are Not Alone
- Another Part of Me
- The Girl Is Mine
- Ebony and Ivory
- I Want You Back
- Man In the Mirror
So there it is my top 10 in no particular order. We never know how long we have on this planet so all we can do is live each day like it’s your last and make sure your loved ones know you care. Remember to take time to smell the roses, enjoy the sunshine, the rainbows and the rain. As I end this post I want to leave you with one of the lines from his song Gone to Soon.
Like the loss of Sunlight on a cloudy afternoon. Gone too Soon…………
Father's Day!

I know I’m late but just wanted to say Happy Father’s Day to all the Father’s out there. It’s hard for me this year without my Grandfather who helped raise me. I took this photo while thinking of him. A Father’s shoes seem so big when your little.

The Reddick's annual 70's Party!

Host of the party
As my birthday approaches this weekend I thought I would share a few pictures from the annual 70′s party that we attend and photograph every year. Being that I was born in the late 60′s I remember the 70′s only as a distant memory. The fashions from this era as well as the music seem so wholesome compared to what is now offered. the group that attends this party goes all out with new outfits every year and make this event so much fun to shoot. Thank you so much to this fun loving couple that invite us to spend a few hours with them every year and have a good time.
